A Clear Process From Property Review to Written Estimate

CLG Outdoor Lighting is an Oregon-based provider of landscape lighting, permanent architectural lighting, and professional holiday lighting. We start by learning about your property, your goals, and how you want to use the space after dark.

From there, we review the property, develop a design direction that fits the architecture and landscape, and prepare a clear written estimate for your consideration. The property, fixtures, controls, access, and service details shape the final proposal.

Step One

Consultation & Property Review

Start by sharing a few details about your Oregon property and the lighting you are considering through our request a consultation or written estimate form, or by phone. A CLG team member reviews the request and discusses your goals, property context, and the right service path.

When the project is a fit for the conversation, the next step may include a property discussion or on-site review, as appropriate. This gives the team useful context before design work begins.

Step Two

Design & Written Estimate

Using the property context and your priorities, CLG develops a design direction for the lighting system. The design can account for architecture, landscape, outdoor living areas, controls, access, and the way you want the property to look after dark.

We then prepare a human-reviewed written estimate with the proposed scope, fixture or control considerations, and other project details. The final investment depends on the property and selected scope, so the written estimate is specific to your project.

Frequently Asked
Questions

How long does a typical installation take?

Most residential landscape and architectural lighting installations are completed in a single day. Larger estates, commercial properties, or complex holiday displays may require two to three days. We provide a specific timeline estimate in your proposal.

Do I need to be home during the installation?

We recommend being available at the start and end of the installation, but you don’t need to be present throughout. We’ll brief you at the beginning, check in with any questions as they arise, and walk through everything with you at completion.

What if something isn’t right after the install?

We make it right — period. If anything isn’t performing as expected or doesn’t meet your satisfaction, contact us directly and we’ll be there quickly to address it. Our reputation is built on every single installation.

How far in advance should I book?

For landscape and architectural lighting, we can typically schedule within 2–4 weeks. For holiday lighting, our calendar fills up quickly in September and October — we strongly recommend booking early if you want installation before Thanksgiving.

Will the installation damage my landscaping?

We take great care to protect existing plants, mulch, lawn, and hardscaping. Low-voltage wiring is buried at appropriate depths, fixtures are placed to minimize soil disturbance, and we clean up thoroughly after every job.

Do you offer financing?

Yes — we offer flexible financing options to make your lighting investment manageable. Visit our financing page to learn about available plans, or ask us about it during your consultation.
